AreaMap is built with privacy in mind. We do not collect personal data, create user accounts, or share your information with third parties. All measurement data stays on your device.
AreaMap collects minimal data necessary to provide the app's core functionality. We DO NOT collect:
All measurements, saved locations and app preferences are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
AreaMap requests access to your device's precise location (GPS) for the following purposes:
Location is accessed only while the app is open and in use. We do not access location in the background. Location data is processed on your device and is never sent to our servers or shared with third parties.
You can revoke location permission at any time from your device settings. The app will still function for manual pin placement without location access.
AreaMap displays banner advertisements to free users powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to display relevant ads.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
PRO subscribers do not see any advertisements. AdMob's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
AreaMap offers PRO subscriptions (monthly and yearly) processed through Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment information.
RevenueCat may collect anonymised purchase data to manage subscription entitlements. Their privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
All user-generated data — measurements, saved locations, zone names and app settings — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data:

The Land Records feature opens external government websites in an in-app browser. These websites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over the data they collect.
AreaMap is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of AreaMap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
