How do I measure an area?
Open AreaMap and tap on the satellite map to drop pins around the boundary of your land. As you place 3 or more pins, the area and perimeter are calculated automatically and shown in the bottom panel.
How do I measure a distance?
Tap the mode pill at the top and switch to "Distance". Drop 2 or more pins along the path you want to measure — the total distance is shown in the bottom panel.
Does the app require an internet connection?
An internet connection is required to load satellite map tiles. Once tiles are loaded, measurements work offline. GPS location also works without internet.
How do I use GPS Walk mode?
Tap the ⋮ menu on the right side of the map, then tap the Walk icon. Walk along the boundary of your land — pins are dropped automatically as you move. Tap Stop when done.
Can I measure multiple plots at once?
Yes — tap the + button on the left to add a new Zone. Each zone is measured independently and the total area is shown in the bottom panel.
Can I drag and reposition pins?
Yes — tap and hold any pin to drag it to a new position for fine-tuned accuracy.
How accurate is the measurement?
Accuracy depends on the satellite imagery resolution and how precisely you place pins. For best results, zoom in as much as possible before placing pins and use GPS Walk mode for large fields.
How do I save a measurement?
After placing your pins, tap the Save button in the bottom panel. Give it a name and tap Save. Access all saved measurements from the Saved tab.
How do I share a measurement?
Tap "Share image" to share a map card image. In the Saved tab, tap the share icon next to any measurement to share a link or image.
Can I export to PDF or KML?
Yes — this is a PRO feature. In the Saved tab, tap the export icon on any saved measurement to export as PDF, KML or GeoJSON.
What's included in PRO?
PRO includes unlimited zones, PDF/KML/GeoJSON exports, history overlays, and removes all advertisements.
How do I restore my PRO subscription?
Open the app → tap the PRO banner or paywall → tap "Restore purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → AreaMap PRO → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → Subscriptions → AreaMap PRO → Cancel.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. On iOS, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, contact Google Play support within 48 hours of purchase.
How do I change the unit (e.g. to Bigha or Acre)?
In the bottom measurement panel, tap the unit badge (e.g. "m²") to open the unit picker. Select your preferred unit. You can also set a default unit in Settings.
How do I switch between light and dark mode?
Go to the Settings tab → Appearance → toggle between Light and Dark mode.
How do I change the map type?
Tap the ⋮ menu on the map → tap the Map icon to switch between Satellite and Map view.
